British success in Cannes with 'The Curse'
Film4 and BFI-backed short film The Curse, directed by Fyzal Boulifa and produced by Gavin Humphries (Quark Films) and Karim Debbagh, has won the Illy Best Short Film Prize at Cannes Film Festival.I’m very happy for Fyzal. As well as a great writer/director, he also an incredible person to know. I worked with him on his previous short film ‘Burn My Body’ and I’ve seen this one. It is very well deserved. Well done to Fyzal and everyone who made it happen!
